About Sara

Hey there,

My name is Sara and yes, without the “h”. Here at Eurasia Café I’m a Marketing Team Member and Social Media Manager. In the office, I am a part of promotions, and support with coordinating upcoming events and managing our social media posts on TwitterFacebook, and Instagram (follow us)! But to be honest, you’ll usually find me laughing, being loud or cracking jokes with co-workers. I’m that girl. Ha!

A little bit about myself, I grew up in Redwood City, CA and was raised by my beautiful and colorful Salvadorian family. I have an amazing mom, a chill dad and a very studious older sister. Then there was me, always known as the sporty one. When I graduated high school, I started going on missions trips overseas and I fell in love with being an advocate for social justice. I grew a passion and a burden in my heart to help those in need. On one of those trips, I got offered a basketball scholarship to Evangel University, so I packed up my bags and went off to college. I majored in Communication and minored in Intercultural Studies. Not only did I establish life long friendships there, but I also met my best friend who is currently my fiancé (wedding coming soon this September! Yay)! So I graduated last year in 2011 and with a diploma in my hand, we all ask that infamous question, “Now what?”

I realized that life isn’t about finding the “right” job after college. Instead, I’ve found that you just find what you’re most passionate about and stay tremendously invested in it. And my passion was to help people and stand for social justice causes.

A year later here I am with Eurasia Café, using my passion to be a part of the change in someone’s life. I am tremendously blessed to be a part of this team! Here I have met amazing people and have established new friendships. There’s always something new in the offices. If there’s ever a dull moment, that means that people are out of the office and traveling. We all share the same passions here and I’m assuming that if you’re reading this, you do too!

So, if you’re passionate about being a part of a change, then I encourage you to start today! It may not be something drastic, but remember it all starts in the small everyday tasks. For example, drinking coffee and tea that give back…  Just an idea!
